Be a hero to courageous local kids and their families fighting cancer. This is SO much more than a timed race! This is an awesome event to honor and celebrate the cancer journeys of these brave young warriors. The 5k course is flat and fast, and lined with superheroes (bring your camera!). Bring your friends and start a team. Medals are 3 deep. There's a prize for Best Team Name, Best Fundraiser, Best Fundraising Team, Best Superhero Costume (Adult), Best Superhero Costume (10-18), Best Superhero Costume (10 & under), and Best Dog Costume.

During the 5k course, athletes will earn beads along the way that honor the cancer journey:

• Blue Beads for HOPE - .5 Mile
• Red Beads for STRENGTH - 1.55k Mile
• Green Beads for RESILIENCE - 2.6 Mile
• GOLD Beads for BRAVERY at the Finish Line. Gold is the color of childhood cancer and September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month! Show your colors!

Participants of the untimed 1 mile Fun Run will also get GOLD Beads at the Finish!

This family-friendly event also has an amazing Kid Fun Zone for the young and young at heart. Kids between ages 4 and 9 will do the 100 yard Young Hero Dash, while kids under 4 can participate in the 10 yard Diaper Dash. Those will take place on the warning track inside Roger Dean Stadium. A select number of kids will be chosen randomly to run the bases at Roger Dean Stadium.

6:30 am - Registration opens: Breezeway at Roger Dean Stadium
6:30 am - Honor/Memory Tent is open for your messages of hope and inspiration (next to registration) until 11 am
7:10 am - "Why we walk/ Why we fight" Moment of inspiration at the start,
                 announce Best Team Name
7:30 am - 5k start for timed runners (up front) and walkers - at University and Crescent
                 (between Roger Dean and amphitheater)
7:45 am - Start for untimed 1 milers
8:30 am - Medals given for age group winners 3 deep, Announce Best Fundraiser, Best Fundraising Team, Best Superhero Costume (Adult), 
                Best Superhero Costume (11-17), Best Superhero Costume (3-10), Best Superhero Costume (ages under 3), and Best Dog Costume.
8:35 am - Kids Fun Zone opens in breezeway at Roger Dean Stadium and is open until 11 am
8:35 am - Start 10 yard Diaper Dash (kids 3 and under) on the warning track inside Roger Dean Stadium
8:40 am - Courage Cam! Opens
8:50 am - 100 yard Young Hero Dash (kids between 4 & 10) on the warning track inside the stadium
9:00 am - 5k and 1 mile Courses close
9:00 am - Ice Cream Truck arrives
